CT Series
This 2022 drawing series was inspired by CT scans of my beloved dog, Cash. What initially seemed to be an innocuous problem turned out to be fatal for him. His death was deeply profound and surprisingly devastating. CT scans used to diagnose the problem were forwarded to me and I spent hours examining the beautiful and mysterious images. Selecting many, I downloaded them, created outlines of each and used the detailed prints as the underpinnings for the detailed graphite drawings presented here. With works I have found a meditative way to process the loss.
